Dr. Ajay Shankar Kar

Dr Ajay Shankar Kar has done his basic MBBS training from VSS Medical College, Burla, Sambalpur. He has done his DNB training in Ophthalmology at one of the most reputed medical college of India, Christian Medical College, Vellore. After finishing his training he did long term fellowship in Cornea and Refractive surgery at Apollo Health City, Hyderabad under the guidance of world renowned surgeon Dr. Rajesh Fogla. He did his advance Phaco training at LV Prasad eye hospital, Hyderabad. He has cleared FRCS( A) Glasgow and FAICO( Cornea)-Fellow of All India Collegium of Ophthalmology which is one of the most toughest exam. He joined as a Cornea consultant at Sankar foundation eye hospital at Visakhapatnam where he trained fellows and DNB students. He did thousands for surgeries and trained ophthalmologist from different states. He then joined as a chief consultant in Ophthalmology (Cornea and refractive) surgery at Seven Hills hospital, Visakhapatnam. The department is upgraded with all equipments and he does all advanced surgeries in Cornea and refractive surgeries. He has patients from nearby states like Odisha, Chattisgarh, Bihar and West Bengal and is well versed in many languages. Working in tertiary eye care institutes with patient care facilities in all specialties. He had the privilege of entering the realm of ophthalmology under the wings of the most competent and caring teachers who not only initiated him into this field but also showed how to have the human touch in healing. He has number of papers, presentations, Innovation and is a member of number of ophthalmology societies.
