Dr. Sujatha Vipperla is one of the leading Interventional Cardiologist in coastal Andhra Pradesh with more than a decade of experience in Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Sujatha Vipperla completed her MBBS in 1990 and MD (Internal Medicine) in 1994 from Andhra Medical College and King George Hospital. She further pursued DM (Cardiology) in 2000 from Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad which is a public hospital rendering tertiary care in cardiology for the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Post completing her medical education, she left to Paris for advanced training and worked as fellow in interventional cardiology from October 2003 to September 2004 in Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud, one of the reputed centres in the world in interventional cardiology. After returning from Paris she performed complex multivessel angioplasties and primary angioplasties through the transradial route. She was trained in complex coronary angioplasty most of which were performed through the transradial approach. She also worked in Germany for two weeks under a reputed cardiologist and underwent extensive training in Carotid Angioplasty and Device Closures of ASD.
Dr. Sujatha Vipperla has worked with some of the best hospitals in and around Visakhapatnam including Care Hospitals, Seven Hills Hospitals and Apollo Hospitals. She is currently working as Consultant Cardiologist in Indus Hospital. She has independently performed the entire gamut of coronary and noncoronary interventions. She along with the medical team at Indus Hospitals, started the device closure program aggressively and have done highest number of device closures. She is also an expert in performing carotid and peripheral angioplasty and treatments for heart failure including ICD and CRT implants.
