“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up” – Thomas Edison.
It’s very likely that whatever you want to achieve, someone has came along and done it before you. Who are they? How did they do it? What helped them along the way? These are questions that you need to answer, as in the answers may lie some valuable help to aid you in your own journey.
A burning desire is the starting point of all accomplishment. Just like a small fire cannot give much heat, a weak desire cannot produce great results. Here the inspirational article talks about our Superintendent of Police Dr. Koya Praveen, IPS, Visakhapatnam District.
He graduated MBBS from Rangaraya Medical College-Kakinada. After his MBBS, he moved to Delhi to tackle Civils Services Examination.
On this journey he joined as junior resident doctor at Lady Hardinge Medical College New Delhi and Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital Delhi.
During this time he cleared the prestigious Civil Services and selected for Indian Revenue Services - (IRS 2008 Batch).
The burning desire for IPS didn't end, he continued his study during his trainng period of IRS cracked again the civil services and achieved IPS (2009 Batch).
This is not only will it help in getting to your destination, but seeing others do it is a great way to know that you can do it as well.
IPS is most reputed profile in civil services for hard working youngsters who are dreaming for serving the nation wholeheartedly. A candidate who qualifies to become an IPS officer has to undergo rigorous training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad(A.P).
However, there are about three lakhs candidates who compete for every vacancy that arises in IPS. Therefore, to make it to the IPS is undoubtedly a remarkable achievement.
That in essence implies that one needs to toil diligently with single-minded devotion for nothing less than a couple of years to successfully sail through a series of written exams and interviews. These trials that are conducted over a year long period fittingly test one’s mental and ability to serve in one of the prestigious establishment of India.
There is nothing that can compensate merit, confidence and honesty of a Student when it comes to cracking examinations.
Our Andhra youth have a lot of talent. All they need is a proper guidance and exposure. It is time we stand up and tell the world that we can make it to elite civil services.
